I didn’t plan to offer free IT support. It happened because I kept seeing the same thing.
As a network engineer and infrastructure consultant, I’ve spent years helping businesses get their technology right. Enterprise networks, cloud migrations, disaster recovery, managed services. It’s work I’m proud of. But somewhere along the way I started noticing what wasn’t being served.
Charities running vital services on ageing, unreliable equipment. Small community groups where IT meant one volunteer who sort of knew their way around a PC. Micro businesses just getting started who needed solid foundations but couldn’t afford a consultant.
These weren’t edge cases. They were everywhere. And every single one of them was doing something that mattered.
So I decided to do something simple, offer my time, skills, and experience to the people who need it most, at no cost.
No catch. No upsell at the end. No watered-down advice. The same quality of thinking I bring to paid engagements, applied to people and organisations who actually need a leg up.
That’s what IT for Good is.
